Getting Started
Everything you need to begin your journey with Aria.
1. Get Aria
Aria is in development and is not yet available on the App Store. When it launches, it will require iOS 27 or later.
2. Grant Permissions
Aria works best with access to your calendar, health data, and microphone. You control what to share.
3. Start Talking
Say "Hey Aria" or type your first message. Aria will remember and learn from each conversation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my data private?
Aria is designed to process on your device by default. When cloud processing is needed, and only if you allow it, Aria is designed to de-identify your personal data before sending your queries to the cloud models you choose. We never sell your data. You control what Aria can access.
What devices are supported?
Aria will require iOS 27 or later. Supported devices will be listed at launch.
How does ambient listening work?
With your permission, Aria can listen to meetings and conversations and turn what matters into memories. Aria is designed to keep the audio it records on your device for about 7 days by default, so you can see and play back what it captured; after that, only the transcript is kept. Aria is designed so you can delete any recording at any time. Let people know when Aria is listening, and follow local recording-consent laws.
How does the memory system work?
Aria processes your conversations and interactions to extract meaning and context, and it remembers the important connections. Health and financial data you connect is stored on your device so Aria can give you a complete picture. To connect bank accounts, Aria uses services we operate, which keep the Plaid access token needed to fetch your financial data.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Aria is designed so you can delete individual memories and recordings. In the current development build, Delete All Data in Aria's Privacy Settings removes your conversations, memories, and the health records Aria has stored from your health providers and Apple Health, but it does not disconnect Epic MyChart, Aetna, Google or Microsoft, and it leaves some records on your device, such as your financial data, the people Aria has recognized in recordings, the chapters and episodes built when you re-index your memories, notes, and records of the skills Aria has run. Disconnecting a linked financial account deletes that account and its transactions from your device, but the app does not ask our Plaid service to revoke the Plaid access token it holds. If you use iCloud Backup, your backups can include Aria's data.
What is the Aria Pendant?
The Aria Pendant is an optional wearable companion for Aria. It is in development and is not available yet, and its design and features may change before release.
